Showers and thunderstorms associated with the remnants of tropical depression 16-E are expected to taper off during the next few days from across the Desert Southwest into the central Plains. Up to a few inches of rain can be expected in the central Plains. Our attention will then shift to the East Coast where a low pressure center is forecast to form off the Carolina coast and continue to linger just off the mid-A
