Mike Trees on Instagram: "Overstriding is braking. When the foot lands too far in front of your center of mass the ground reaction force points back into you. That raises impact at the knee and hip, increases contact time, and lowers your running economy. The goal is not to reach farther. Create your stride length behind you. Land with a near vertical shin, foot just ahead of the hip, knee slightly bent. Then apply force backward and let your hip extension and elastic recoil carry you forward. M
