Cartographically correct world map of Warhammer (4000x3256)
Quick question, based on this map, where is the Elith Arvan mentioned in the Sundering books? According to the 8th edition core rulebook, Elthin Arvan is the Eltharin (Elvish language) work for The Old World, the Europe-analogue populated in the modern day by the Empire, Kislev, Bretonnia, Estalia, and Tilea.

Oh wow, I totally missed this. I wonder if that map was done purely for marketing through Warhammer Community or if there are actual plans for Cathay to be implemented in TOW. Don’t know how GW would really tie Cathay and the Old World together narrative-wise. They’re really far out of the scope of TOW and any conceivable upcoming expansions.

Here is the best GW managed back in the days. Obviously rather around the 2500 timeframe, while TOW is shaping its map around 2276. For Skaven specifically, it seems this specific time period is during the Skaven civil wars which lasted for roughly 100 years.

It makes the factions that have no irl parallel like the Skaven, Chaos, and Beastmen stick out far more than if every nation was unique. It also helps with contextualizing the world to make it feel more real.
Is there a "readable" map of the Warhammer world?
Aug 6, 2019 · 5. I found a map of the Old World of Warhammer but is is really blurry. Was wondering if there is a much better resolution of this map where the entire world is shown in detail? The entire map of the Empire, Bretton, wood elves (?), Border princess kingdoms, Kislev is a huge smudge. So is Ulthuan and countless other places.
