Whitfield C of E School is located in the small village of Whitfield in the North Pennines- an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are only 8 miles from both Haltwhistle and Haydon Bridge and only 12 miles from Hexham.

Our school sits on the Whitfield Estate and we work with the estate closely. The school is over 250 years old and was established by ancestors of the current estate owners to provide education for the village children- both boys and girls.

Pupils are welcomed into school and share a healthy breakfast of cereals or toast before playing board games, drawing or building with Lego. On the warmer days, time in the playground, or peace garden is always a popular choice.

Our school was visited by Ofsted on the 9th and 10th of November 2021 - this was our first inspection since joining the Good Shepherd Trust and we are delighted to share the report with you below. Our School Day. Arrival time - 8.45am. The school gate opens at 8.45am . Children are not supervised by school staff before this time therefore remain under the supervision of parents.

At Whitfield C of E School we have a dedicated safeguarding team and maintain and follow key policies and procedures, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
