GUGGENHEIM BANDSHELL LINCOLN CENTER, DAMROSCH PARK. NEW YORK, NY. Lincoln Center’s 50th anniversary is being celebrated by a campus-wide redevelopment project including the renovation and expansion of the Guggenheim Bandshell at Damrosch Park.

The Daniel and Florence Guggenheim bandshell is the park’s focal point with a concrete plaza that holds 3,000 people and which serves as the main location for large events such as the Lincoln Center Festival in July, Lincoln Center Out of Doors in August, and as the home of the Big Apple Circus October through January.

Damrosch Park is a 2.4-acre (0.97 ha) park at Amsterdam Avenue and West 62nd Street in Lincoln Square, Manhattan, New York City. The park, which includes the Guggenheim Bandshell, is on the south side of the Metropolitan Opera House and west of the David H. Koch Theater at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. [1]

Mar 20, 2022 · Performances take place at the Daniel and Florence Guggenheim Bandshell in the western end of the park above Amsterdam Avenue. The south side has street entrances, and the northeast corner of the park connects directly to the Center’s central plaza.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a 16.3-acre complex of buildings in the Lincoln Square neighborhood on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is situated 410 feet east of Guggenheim Bandshell.

Damrosch Park has hosted world-class performances in front of its famous mid-century modern Guggenheim Bandshell. Hearst Plaza showcases Henry Moore’s ‘Reclining Figure’ sculpture in the Paul Milstein Reflection Pool, as well as various concerts and family events.

Opened in 1969, the Guggenheim Bandshell in Damrosch Park can be found on West 62nd Street, west of the David H. Koch Theater, and between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
