Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said the improvement in China-India relations is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and their people.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, on an official visit to Beijing, met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday (27 January), as part of efforts to strengthen India-China relations, reported The Hindu.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on China and India to “explore more substantial measures to promote mutual understanding and support” as he met with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri in Beijing on Monday.
