Brazil's Supreme Court ordered Elon Musk-owned X not to circumvent a previous ruling suspending the social media platform in the country, at risk of a daily fine of 5 million reais ($921,726.95), according to a decision issued late on Wednesday.

Elon Musk's social media platform, X, has named Rachel de Oliveira Conceicao as its legal representative in Brazil to meet Supreme Court requirements. The appointment follows a suspension due to non-compliance with content moderation and local representation laws.

Elon Musk’s X told Brazil’s Supreme Court that it had appointed two attorneys to represent it in the country, nearly three weeks after a top judge ordered internet providers to block access to the social media platform in Latin America’s largest nation.
