Drugmaker Sarepta Therapeutics says it won’t comply with a request from U.S. regulators to halt all shipments of its gene therapy.

Sarepta Therapeutics shares snapped a three-day losing streak on Tuesday, as analysts said resumption of U.S. shipments for its muscular gene therapy soothes immediate concerns about liquidity and the therapy's withdrawal from the market.

The death of a 51-year-old man in the study follows two other deaths of Duchenne patients treated with Sarepta’s marketed gene therapy Elevidys.
