Tornado alley it's not, but a section of California was hit Saturday with a rare tornado that has been blamed for injuring five and flipping vehicles as a storm moved across the state.

The National Weather Service says that a tornado hit Santa Cruz County on Saturday at around 1:40 p.m. Several people were injured during the tornado. In a statement, the NWS said: “For Scotts Valley,
