Thousands of protesters across the US marched against the Trump administration as part the "No Kings" movement Saturday, June 14.
The event was one of more than 2,000 “No Kings” rallies held across the country on Saturday, protesting what organizers call “authoritarianism, billionaire-first politics, and the militarization of our democracy.
Across the country, an estimated 5 million protesters took part in more than 2,000 protests, according to the American Civil Liberties Union, a co-sponsor of the nationwide protest. In the Bay Area, more than 50 protests were planned stretching south from Gilroy north to Santa Rosa.

The man shot and killed while participating in the “No Kings” protest in Salt Lake City was a successful fashion designer and former “Project Runway” contestant who devoted his life to celebrating artists from the Pacific Islands.
"In America, we don't do kings," the No Kings website reads. "They've defied our courts, deported Americans, disappeared people off the streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too. far. [cq] No thrones. No crowns. No kings."
