Son Heung-min is set to join LAFC in a £13 million ($17m) move from Tottenham, bringing an emotional end to his 10-year stay in north London. The South Korean star said goodbye to Spurs fans in Seoul on Sunday and is now finalising paperwork with the Black and Gold before officially making the move to the Major League Soccer side.

According to numerous reports, including from Fabrizio Romano, Son, 33, is close to agreeing a move to Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer and talks are at an advanced stage. Son confirmed he will be able to say more about his next club after the friendly against Newcastle on Sunday.

After 10 years with Tottenham, captain Son Heung-min announced on Saturday that he plans to leave the English Premier League club. The 33-year-old South Korea international will start against Newcastle in a preseason friendly Sunday in Seoul in what could be his final match with the team.
