More than 40 people, including children, are still missing after a wall of flood waters surged after heavy rainfall.

A search for Texas flood survivors intensified as Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration for nearly two dozen Texas counties.

Rescuers searched for survivors at Camp Mystic on the bank of the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas, after deadly floods swept through the area on July 4.

The risk of life-threatening flooding is still high in central Texas with more rain on the way. Searchers now have found 68 bodies in Kerr County, where a wall of water came down the Guadalupe River.
