However, it was reported that the temple authorities asked him to step out of the temple's sacred chamber. Ilaiyaraaja has now reacted to the Tamil Nadu controversy, denying such rumours.

The temple administrator, in a statement on Monday, said that only priests are allowed entry to the Ardha Mandapa of the temple.
