John Whitmire, mayor of Houston, told Houston residents in a press conference Sunday to limit activity as a winter storm expects to slam Texas.

Jan. 20 at 5 p.m., Houston Mayor John Whitmire, along with public safety officials, will discuss winter storm safety and warming centers.

"Stay at home and leave our roads for our first-responders," Whitmire said in Monday's press conference ahead of the incoming winter storm.
