CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - 19 First Alert Weather Days have been activated through Saturday to account for tricky travel conditions and higher snowfall accumulation across our primary snowbelt to begin the new year.

A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for wind gusts that will climb upwards of 40 MPH with our next round of rain.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Today is a First Alert Weather Day because of wintry precipitation creating some slick driving conditions. As of 6 a.m., the Lubbock Police Department has already responded to some wrecks, even though precipitation amounts have been fairly light.

These two elements will give our area some snow later tomorrow and through Friday night. Current thinking is a general 1 to 3 inch snowfall. There will be travel impacts Friday by Friday evening. Afternoon temperatures tomorrow 25 to 30 degrees.
