DES MOINES – Union of La Porte City’s Brayden Bohnsack and Jace Hedeman chased 2A state individual state championships this week like a dog attacks a good bone.

The Cyclone freshman phenom used a first-period takedown with 38 seconds left and an escape in the second period to score a 3-1 victory over Bohnsack, last year’s 2A 106-pound state champion.

Enyeart just missed out on his first state wrestling championship after losing a 3-2 battle with Union's Brayden Bohnsack in the 2A title match at 120 during the state wrestling tournament on Feb. 22.

Enyeart nearly captured his first state championship. After placing fourth at 106 in 2A as a freshman, Enyeart earned a technical fall and a pair of 4-1 victories to reach the finals at 120 this year.
