Sparse snow flurries spotted in and around Atlanta; some dustings in north Georgia
Up in north Georgia, there was some snow sticking to the ground. 11Alive's webcam in Blue Ridge saw a little dusting in the downtown area. Our webcam in Dahlonega also showed flakes falling. A member of the Weather Impact Team Facebook group, Joanne McKenzie Vogeler, posted shots of a dusting in Hiawassee as well.
Bitter cold brings sparse, sporadic snow flurries to metro Atlanta
Much of the state woke up to extremely cold temperatures Thursday, and some metro Atlantans were lucky enough to see a few snowflakes on their way to work.
