It has been confirmed that the army helicopter was a Black Hawk, which had three people on board at the time of the crash.

Victims are being named after an American Airlines flight crashed with a Black Hawk by Reagan National Airport, leaving no survivors.

The National Transportation Safety Board said that it has recovered the Black Hawk helicopter’s flight recorder and has a “high level of confidence” of extracting the data.
