Pokemon GO players can encounter three different iterations of Meowth in the mobile title: its standard form, its Alolan form, and its Galarian form.

Seldom seen in use by many Pokemon GO trainers, Alolan Persian is a middle-of-the-pack Pokemon with subpar moves that prohibit it from shining in battles.

But perhaps Alolan Persian is just developer Game Freak’s attempt to revamp the original Pokémon, who we’ve known since the Red and Blue days, to be closer to its real life inspiration.

Starting with Pokemon Sun and Moon, it has a Dark-type Alolan regional variant that can evolve into Alolan Persian should it be leveled up with high friendship.

Similar to Alolan Persian, Alolan Raichu can only be obtained by treating its pre-evolved form well. Partying, playing and feeding a regular Pikachu will help in increasing its happiness level.
