The U.S. House passed President Trump's massive budget bill on Thursday with a 218-214 vote, two days after the Senate narrowly passed the legislation, 51-50, with Vice President JD Vance giving the tie-breaking vote. Mr. Trump plans to sign the bill at the White House on Friday, July 4.

At nearly 900 pages, the legislation is a sprawling collection of tax breaks, spending cuts and other Republican priorities, including new money for national defense and deportations.

After a tumultuous day, an overnight cliffhanger of a vote and a record-breaking speech, Republicans managed to wear down internal resistance and muscle their domestic policy bill through the House.
