A new year means new laws for Texans, and several will go into effect starting Jan. 1, 2025. Some of these laws will affect drivers and internet users, while others will affect court operations and school funding. Changes to the laws were passed during the 88th Texas Legislature and were signed by Gov. Greg Abbott.

For some, it’s not enough to decorate their homes with festive lights and decorations for Christmas. Many take it a step further and adorn their vehicles with reindeer antlers, holiday-themed wreaths and even fairy lights since Texas law doesn’t specifically prohibit it.
