Authorities have identified an 85-year-old school bus driver who was fatally struck by another bus outside of Maple Shade High School in Burlington County Tuesday afternoon.

An 85-year-old school bus driver died after he was hit by another bus in a “tragic accident” at a high school, New Jersey officials said. Jack Hohwald was at Maple Shade High School on Jan. 28 when he was hit by a bus, the Maple Shade Police Department wrote in a news release posted to Facebook.

A beloved Maple Shade School District bus driver was fatally struck by a school bus on Tuesday afternoon, the school district said. According to the school district, the man was outside his bus and was struck by another school bus in the bus depot at Maple Shade High School.
