A rare tornado ripped through Northern California bringing significant damage in Scotts Valley, just north of Santa Cruz. Emergency crews worked through the night to restore power and reopen roads in the area.

In Scotts Valley, people are still trying to wrap their heads around a tornado that touched down in the busiest part of town on Saturday.
