Juniper Fire initially started 11:28 a.m. June 30 in Riverside County, California. Since its discovery two days ago, it has burned 756 acres. By Wednesday evening, a fire crew of three succeeded in containing 98% of the fire. However, the cause is still under investigation.

A quickly growing fire in Riverside County torched more than 500 acres of land and prompted evacuation orders on Monday, according to authorities. Dubbed the Juniper Fire, it was initially reported at 11:28 a.m. in unincorporated parts of Perris, near the area of Idaleona and Juniper roads, Cal Fire said .

Cooler temperatures and humidity are helping firefighters fight the fire, which nearly doubled in size since Monday afternoon.
