Rizwan Kadri, a member of the Prime Minister's Museum and Library (PMML), society has written a letter to the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi requesting to give back the documents, that he called are "important aspect of its history" and were withdrawn from the museum allegedly on the order of Congress senior leader Sonia Gandhi.

Ahmedabad-based historian Rizwan Kadri said in his letter to Gandhi that these papers pertain to Nehru’s correspondence with Edwina Mountbatten, Albert Einstein, Aruna Asaf Ali and Jayaprakash Narayan,

Historian Rizwan Kadri has requested Sonia Gandhi to return or provide copies of personal papers of Jawaharlal Nehru, which were withdrawn from the Prime Ministers' Museum and Library.

The letter has been written to Rahul Gandhi by Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya member Rizwan Kadri. Earlier, similar request was made to Sonia Gandhi in September.

A PMML Society member urged Rahul Gandhi to recover crucial historical documents. The documents were reportedly removed from the museum under Sonia Gandhi's instruction. These include letters between Nehru and Edwina Mountbatten.

What intrigues me is what would have Nehru ji written to EDWINA MOUNTBATTEN that needed censoring and will LOP Rahul help getting back the letters between Nehru and Edwina, says Sambit Patra.

The PMML has requested Rahul Gandhi to return 51 cartons of historical documents, including Jawaharlal Nehru's letters to Edwina Mountbatten, taken away by Sonia Gandhi.
