The city of Northampton has seen an increase in reports about raccoons exhibiting erratic behavior, including frothing at the mouth and appearing disoriented.

Northampton authorities are warning residents about “erratic” raccoons that might have rabies after animals reported with telltale symptoms.

The Northampton Department of Health and Human Services said more people are reporting raccoons displaying erratic behavior.
