McIlroy has played this event twice since he became co-sanctioned in 2022, winning in 2023 and finishing T-4 last year. He closed well at the U.S. Open and carried that over into the Travelers Championship where he tied for sixth, so he's gaining some momentum as he regains his focus before next week's Open.

The Scottish Open, which is co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour, will be held again at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick. The ISCO moves to Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky, after seven years at Keene Trace.
