The Miami Heat were linked to a Damian Lillard pursuit many times in the past. Now they might actually have a chance to land him.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Milwaukee Bucks are waiving Lillard, buying out the rest of the $113 million that the star was owed. Shortly after, it would be noted that Miami is “expected to have interest” in the 34-year-old, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

Damian Lillard kept it short and simple. Lillard didn't put out a long statement after the Milwaukee Bucks released him July 1 after two years. He used just two hashtags in a caption on Instagram that showed him in casual clothes.
