Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting that injured a man Tuesday night in the city's Ventura Village neighborhood.

A Hennepin County judge has set bail at $1 million without conditions for the Minneapolis man accused of shooting his neighbor last month. According to a transcript of the Oct. 29 hearing, John Sawchak denies the charges against him and expressed a desire to obtain restraining orders against people he claims are "stalking him".

A man died after a shooting in Stockton Saturday night, police said. The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard Jr. Boulevard and Aurora Street. Officers said they found a man in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound.

Two people were shot near Little Italy Wednesday morning, the San Diego Police Department confirmed. A short time later, a police officer was also shot in what's believed to be a connected event.

Authorities in North Dakota are investigating an officer-involved shooting Wednesday that left one person dead in Fargo. The Fargo Police Department said officers were responding to a suicidal individual at a south Fargo home when the encounter took place.
