The New York Jets have interviewed another former NFL head coach for their vacant job in their effort to find a new bench boss. The team has announced that Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator and former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy has spoken with the team in New York:

The New York Jets completed a head coaching interview with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, the team announced Wednesday.

The New York Jets interviewed Kansas City offensive coordinator Matt Nagy for their head coach vacancy. Nagy has overseen the Chiefs’ offense led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes the past two seasons.

Nagy is the fourth known coaching candidate the Jets have interviewed, joining Ron Rivera, Mike Vrabel and Rex Ryan. They’re expected to talk to Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, who played eight seasons for the Jets, this week.

The team announced the completion of their interview with Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. They have also requested an interview with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and are set to interview Chiefs assistant G.M. Mike Borgonzi, so they aren’t being shy about meeting with members of the back-to-back champs.

Per Jonathan Jones, the Jets are interviewing both Chiefs assistant GM Mike Borgonzi and OC Matt Nagy today. Jones points out that per league rules, the team can interview Borgonzi in person but can only do so virtually with Nagy.
