Auburn Tigers were plagued by poor quarterback play throughout a disappointing 5-7 2024 season.Senior Payton Thorne was benched after just-two games, having thrown five interceptions. However, his stint on the sidelines didn't last long.

Arnold played nine games for Oklahoma this season, throwing for 1,421 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 444 yards with three touchdowns.
