After hitting three home runs in 10 games with the White Sox, first baseman Tim Elko has been optioned to the Charlotte Knights.

Prior to Friday's game against the Texas Rangers, general manager Chris Getz gave his thoughts on Andrew Vaughn heading to Triple-A.

The White Sox announced today that first basemen Andrew Vaughn and Tim Elko have been optioned to Triple-A Charlotte.
