Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert seemed to win over a national audience in primetime during his team’s Week 16 win over the Denver Broncos. But it was just confirming what Chargers teammates already knew.

Herbert passes for 284 yards, Gus Edwards runs for two TDs and the Chargers erase an 11-point deficit to all but guarantee their second playoff berth in three seasons with a 34-27 win.

With the win and loses by the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts this weekend, Los Angeles would clinch a playoff berth.
