PISCATAQUIS COUNTY, Maine (WABI) - A small earthquake was occurred in northern Maine Sunday night. The United States Geological Society says the magnitude 2.5 earthquake was reported 21.7 miles northwest of Millinocket at 8:56 p.m.

Another earthquake was recorded in Maine, but this one was more than 250 miles from the quake that rocked southern Maine last month. The 2.5 magnitude earthquake was centered 21 miles northwest of Millinocket. Its recorded depth was about 6.6 miles. The U.S. Geological Survey says four people reported feeling the earthquake.
