The streaming giant has unexpectedly published the Netflix Game Controller to the iPhone App Store without any heads-up or an official launch announcement.

Netflix has launched a game controller app on the App Store for iOS devices, suggesting its plans for a cloud gaming service may be taking shape.

The app icon for Netflix Game Controller is a bit more interesting to look at. The new app joins 68 game titles that Netflix distributes through the App Store.

With a recent app launch, though, that may soon change. A new app launched today on the Apple App Store, titled Netflix Game Controller.

That app has now launched but without any games on TVs. The app was first discovered by 9to5Mac, which notes the N-Controller app for Netflix games is basically useless at present.
