Roblox Connect weaves Roblox's existing avatars, voice chat and camera-based facial animations together into a new product.

The Roblox team discusses how the additions point to where Roblox is starting to flex across platforms, into VR, and eventually maybe AR too.

Announced during its developer's conference, Roblox unveiled "Roblox Connect," enabling users to engage in voice calls through avatars in a shared digital environment.

Roblox said it is rolling out voice chat for those who are 13 and older on its user-generated content platform.
