IGN is saddened to report that industry veteran and Retro Studios programmer Mark Haigh-Hutchinson died yesterday afternoon after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 43-years-old.

Retro, today, is known as the studio behind of one of the greatest games of all time, Metroid Prime, plus its two sequels and a pair of Donkey Kong Country games.
