A Salem woman took to Facebook to describe the “weird day” she had which included the discovery of what is believed to be a ball python dead on her front porch.

A Groton resident found a ball python snake on their front porch on Tuesday evening, according to police.

The Des Moines Police Department is warning the community that there might be a loose python slithering around in one of Des Moines’ neighborhoods.
