A service update has been issued for several 2020 and 2021 GM vehicles to address an issue related to the software programming for various control modules.

GM has issued a Special Coverage bulletin for the 2016 through 2018 Chevy Volt, for an available fix for a battery energy control module malfunction.

The automaker said it will replace all battery modules in Chevrolet Bolts that were recalled last month, rather than only defective modules.
