Nintendo has shaken up how it treats your digital game purchases. It's now calling those virtual game cards, and it hopes to make it easier for you to share your games across multiple Switch systems.

There are two methods to share your games between multiple Switch 2 consoles using Virtual Game Cards. And neither one is called GameShare.

Virtual games, profiles, and cloud save data are tied to Nintendo Accounts, so the same data will still be available on your Switch 2.

Digital Switch games are now considered Virtual Game Cards and have the ability to be swapped back and forth between other Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 consoles.
