Google announced new features for Wear OS 6 at Google I/O 2025, giving the operating system a design makeover with Material 3 Expressive, the design language the company unveiled earlier this month.

Google is rolling out Gemini to Wear OS watches. The announcement is part of Google’s plans to replace Google Assistant with Gemini across all of its devices and platforms.

After years of hints that Google was working on its own smartwatch, the first-ever Pixel Watch has finally arrived. Powering it is the platform Google debuted way back in 2014: Wear OS.
