New York State Police report that at about 7 p.m. Thursday night officers responded to a plane crash on I-684 near Exit 2 in the town of Harrison. The airplane was a small general aviation single-engine aircraft. The preliminary investigation has determined there were two individuals on the plane, and one is confirmed deceased.

A second person on the flight was in serious condition. The single-engine plane crashed shortly after the pilot reported engine issues.
