Warming centers and respite spots are available across metro Detroit as cold winds sweep across the region this week.

The Community Shelter Board has four 24-hour warming centers across town. New Covenant Believers Church is one of those four locations. It is preparing to take in every single person looking to get warm through the next few days.

The City of Gonzales has set up a warming center due to winter weather. The warming center will open at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 20, and is at the Gonzales Civic Center, which is located at 219 S. Irma Boulevard in Gonzales.
