UNC baseball is hosting an NCAA Tournament Regional for the third time in the past four seasons at Boshamer Stadium.

The Eagles lost in the second round to North Carolina, 7-2, despite leading for the first six innings of the game. The Tar Heels went on to win the tournament.

The Diamond Heels will play in the ACC Tournament at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in downtown Durham this week. Carolina is the No. 3 seed in the field and will face No. 5 Clemson in the championship game Sunday. UNC is seeking its first tournament title since 2022. In the ACC quarterfinal game against No. 3 North Carolina, the No. 14 Eagles fell 7–2 despite a lights-out performance from A.J. Colarusso.

The Diamond Heels scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase a 2-0 deficit against No. 14 seed Boston College.

After a rather inconsistent season, Boston College baseball’s (28-29, 13-20) year has come to a close after losing to North Carolina (40-12, 18-11) in the ACC Baseball Championship quarterfinals, 7-2.
