New information published in Finland has highlighted one area where the Galaxy S25 family may fall short when the handsets are launched in early 2025.

Reportedly, Samsung may be introducing Qi2 wireless charging on the Galaxy S25 when it launches early next year — making it the first major Android phone to offer the magnetic upgrade. Qi2 is, to put it simply, an open version of Apple’s MagSafe.

According to an early image published on a Finnish carrier site, the Galaxy S25 will have at least two case accessories that support the beefed-up wireless charging standard. There will likely be a Samsung-made “magnet case,” as 9to5Google calls it. Qi2 wireless charging includes magnets, which keep the connection hearty and stable.

There will be four "conventional" colors to go alongside it, the tipster says, though it's not clear from this post exactly what these will be: quite possibly Titanium Blue, Titanium Gray, Titanium Black, and Titanium Silver based on information that's already leaked.
