Ricky Starks has reportedly asked to be released from All Elite Wrestling, but that request has not been granted by CEO Tony Khan.

In today's WWE and AEW rumors, Ricky Starks asked for his release, Alexa Bliss' return was pushed back, and two stars at the WWE PC.

While there is no word on when, exactly, Starks asked to be let go, AEW founder Tony Khan turned him down. Now, Starks is waiting out the remainder of his contract and attempting to stay relevant by working independent dates.

Not terribly surprising considering what else we know about the situation between Starks and the company he’s currently signed to, but likely confirmation we’ll have to wait several months before he can sign elsewhere.
