As 2024 comes to an end, many people are looking forward to what 2025 will bring. That includes making New Year’s Resolutions, and trying to stick to them. KHON2’s Jodi Leong asked Sondra Leiggi-Brandon for some tips for those who are looking to make resolutions for the New Year.

The first advice I have is make sure you make a manageable, realistic goal. Don’t make your goal too lofty. Make sure that it’s something that is actually attainable, and something that is small so you can be sure that you accomplish it.

As the New Year approaches, many people are excited to set new goals. However, sticking to resolutions can be tough. This year try the Mindful Micro-Momentum Method.

And many of us will set goals for the new year that can be measured in pounds, minutes or miles. But like hungry shoppers at the grocery store, our desires tend to be bigger than our capacities. We have trouble envisioning realistic goals that are achievable in just 12 months and often end up abandoning them not long into the new year.
