AMD's next foray into the desktop gaming graphics card market was announced at CES today with the reveal of the Radeon RX 9070 XT And RX 9070.

This year's CES event brought us plenty of GPUs to be excited about, though we're still waiting on AMD to unveil more details about its upcoming Radeon RX 9070 XT that it previewed at the event.

AMD’s highly-anticipated RDNA 4 GPUs have a slightly different naming structure than previous generations, so let’s clear that up first: AMD is now naming its GPU models by 10s instead of 100s, which is why we’re seeing the Radeon RX 9070 name.

A total of four already-announced GPUs from Asus have been listed at B&H: Asus Radeon RX 9070 Prime, Asus Radeon RX 9070 TUF Gaming, Asus Radeon RX 9070 XT TUF, and the Asus Radeon RX 9070 XT Prime. Details are scarce; however, per the website, pre-orders will go live on January 23 at 9:00 AM ET.

AMD just teased the Radeon RX 9070 yesterday at CES 2025 with very little in the way of specs or even a release date. However, because Team Red was demoing the Radeon RX 9070 at its booth with Call of Duty Black Ops 6 – which has a built-in Benchmark tool – I was able to get a quick peek how this next-gen GPU performs.

Using new AMD RDNA 4 architecture, the 9070 XT and 9070 will compete with Nvidia's mid-range graphics cards, with RX 9060 to follow soon.
