The tone is shifting on the job security of Patriots first-year head coach Jerod Mayo. In a segment on ESPN’s “NFL Countdown,” NFL insider Adam Schefter said he believes the organization is “leaning” towards firing Mayo.

The Jets brought in their former general manager, Mike Tannenbaum, as well as former Vikings general manager Rick Spielman, to assist with their dual general manager and coaching searches. They have already begun conducting interviews for both openings after firing both head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas earlier this season.

According to Dianna Russini, Mike Vrabel is expected to meet with the Bears for their head coaching vacancy next week.

One name confirmed to be getting an interview for that head coaching spot is Rex Ryan. During ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown," he made it clear that he's not inclined to bring Rodgers back if he got the position. "You can let a guy walk out the door when he's not committed to the team...you can't tell me that hasn't been the case," he said.
