New Mexico State University and Athletic Director Mario Moccia have parted ways. According to New Mexico State University, President Valerio Ferme announced Moccia will depart from the university, effective immediately. Ferme has appointed Amber Burdge as acting athletics director.
New Mexico State athletic director Mario Moccia fired
The university confirmed the information Thursday morning and put out a press release during the early afternoon. Moccia, an NMSU alumnus, has been athletic director since 2015.
